Our In-home / on location portraits are an affordable and comfortable alternative to studio photography.  In a familiar environment, you and your family / friends / co-workers will be more themselves and your portraits will reflect the personality you've come to know and love.  We specialize in helping folks feel comfortable and love opportunities to capture candid portraits as they often truly provide the essence of the subject.  We specialize in working with children and people that are often "camera shy" or just naturally shy around new people.

There is never an additional charge for more than one person or adding people into the mix.  There is no “sitting fee” or other costs.  You simply hire the photographer for the designated time period and have them available for capturing any images or folks.

We guarantee you'll be thrilled by our work or we keep the photos and you keep your money.  We don't believe in charging people for something they did not want.

We typically capturing far more pictures that you know what to do with!  We will provide you with color proof sheets - images printed on 8.5x11" photo paper [beautiful enough for a keepsake in itself] as well as a CD-Rom or DVD of your original images.  We typically offer a selection of images that have been modified digitally to represent a more artistic flair.  This provides you with visible options as far as what you can do with your images. 

You are never required to purchase prints through us.  Certainly we offer your images in fine art prints using archival ink and paper, available promptly from us. Should you choose to purchase fine art prints or other items, we can work with you after you receive your proofs to attain a creative and artistic approach to the images, should you desire that. Service includes: 

Photographer For Designated Time Period:  The photographer can direct the entire shoot [or follow your family / children around!]; merely blend in to capture any opportunities or be available to collect all the images you designate as wanting.

Set of Image Proofs:  The best images from the photo shoot will be printed on 8.5” x 11” economy photo paper for your review.  You may then choose to purchase additional prints or a variety of other artistic displays [at a discounted rate] – though you are certainly not obligated.

CD or DVD of Images:  This will contain all your images in a high resolution format so that you are able to maintain a “digital negative” of all these images.

Imagine Ink Designs charges a flat rate of $45 per hour for all photographic services.  The location of the photo shoot [your choice] must be within 5 miles of the Livingston County border or an additional fee may apply.

Scheduling

We work almost exclusively in the field and therefore are often not available when you call.  We will get back to you as soon as we return to the studio. 

Our calendar typically has several dates that have either already reached its capacity of bookings or nearing it.  Once we schedule your event no other shoots or appointments are scheduled as we do not believe in double booking.  Scheduling is done on a first come first serve basis only.

 We can, at times, accommodate requests the day of the shoot to add additional time with the photographer.  This is not always possible so we will work with you at the time of arranging the session to ensure that you are afforded the time you need as are we.  We will be honest with you in saying that typical portraits [of any nature] rarely need to be booked for more than 1 hour but may need 2 in some circumstances.  However, there may be times when Imagine Ink Designs has other pre-scheduled appointments and may not be able to remain as flexible to remaining past the scheduled hours of service.

Cancellation and “No Show” Policy / Rescheduling Policy

Any cancellation of an anticipated photo shoot service prior to 2 hours before service will incur a $25 fee.  If a deposit had been made, the fee will be taken from the deposit with the remaining balance being refunded within 72 hours sent via United States Postal Service.

To re-schedule a digital image shoot, contact must be made as soon as possible.  If re-scheduling  does not occur until the time of the shoot with our photographer being present, then you may be subject to a $15 fee.  Any re-scheduling done prior to the day of service to be provided will not result in any incurred fees.  Please note that repeated re-scheduling is at the discretion of Imagine Ink Designs as it may result in potential loss of other customers [due to the loss of scheduling time].

Due to safety and liability issues, Imagine Ink Designs reserves the right to reschedule a shoot due to inclement weather or conditions.  If the shoot is unable to be rescheduled, there would obviously be no cancellation fee.

Digital Image Refund and Retake Policy 

If overall the images do not represent the sense expected by the client, a refund shall be granted upon the return of all DVD and/or CDs as well as all printed images.  The client then has no rights to the images as they remain under the ownership of Imagine Ink Designs.

Retakes will be scheduled at no additional hourly rate to the client if it is determined that the overall style and images gained were not expected.  If there are at least 50 % of images meeting the clients’ expectations, then a retake will not be scheduled at the cost of Imagine Ink Designs.  Due to the high volume of images collected during a typical one hour digital image shoot, it is unlikely that several images would not meet the client’s liking, if they were present during the shoot [example: child or pet portraits would typically involve the parent / owner at the time the images are collected] and therefore the percentage is utilized as a general rule of thumb.  Imagine Ink Designs strives to meet the needs and desires of its clients.

Copyright & Image Usage Details

Hiring Imagine Ink Designs means you are commissioning an artist to create an image of some sort, whether digitally or otherwise.  Imagine Ink Designs takes pride in their art and does not readily offer copyright rights to their images.  As noted by another photographic company, hiring us is like hiring a musician to write a song or an artist to paint a portrait.  We create the masterpiece and provide it to you.  We maintain the copyright to that image as we created it.  We provide all our clients a copy of the images created / designed as a goodwill measure to ensure that each client has a digital negative for future use and reference.  We reserve the rights to reproduction of these images for monetary or other gains unless otherwise expressed in writing.  Imagine Ink Designs maintains rights to reproduce or otherwise promote, present or represent their company / services through the reproduction and use of the image.
